So my crank oil seal is shot. Got the old one out from the outside. I know the oem ones need to be inserted from the inside which requires splitting the engine. There was a guy on YouTube that used an automotive tailshaft seal and rtv...and inserted from the outside. Does anyone know what size of seal I would need to order that fits!? Someone here has had to have done it this way

Most of the aftermarket replacement seals have no lip. Start a conversation with Chacal. He has them in stock.

Use this stuff as a seal dressing:

If any of it gets inside of the cases it will just mix with the oil and cause no harm.
