They were full of slush. My son's car spun out on a bridge, some black ice formed. I used to ride when the weather was like this, I either learned or got old.

Um... as a Canadian, I can confirm your weather predictions. That is definitely not rain!

Back to spring and riding! At least the snow is short lived here in Utah during the spring.

Thunderstom season has begun in earnest. I'm glad that I decided to take the Miata today.

Hey FU. Say hi to the good folks of Astoria for me. Ride out to Bouy 9 for a bowl of chowder while you're there (it's on the way to Ft. Stevens), or the Pig 'N' Pancake if you're there for breakfast.

our plans include seeing the goonies house and eating lots of fresh oysters. outside of that, I have no idea what the wife has planned but we might have to trip out to ft stevens just to look across the mouth of the river at cape disappointment (we have camped there a couple times and looked across the river from there). we definitely have to take our stunt kites and do some flying on the beach.

Funny aside: There's a banner ad at the top of this thread, and guess what it's for? Steel Building Kits! "...perfect for RV storage, maintenance shops, garages and more!" Like maybe XJ storage in Utah? I mean come on! Right above top of the pictures of those sad snowy bikes. How perfect is that?

    Astoria?
I was out there once and fished the mouth of the Columbia River for sturgeon and king salmon.
    Sidewinder Charters - highly recommended, , , , , , the guides name?
Toby Muck - there is no way you can go wrong with a river fishing guide named muck.
He made our day on the water rewarding and adventurous.

There are sturgeon in the river in my town, but they're totally protected. Not legal to catch, even if you release them. I have accidentally hooked up with one, and it pulled the boat upstream for half an hour before it bent the hook straight. Monsters!
