Since my bike seems to only have very minor problems other than needing a paint job I got to wondering what kinds of improvements I could do to it. For starters it will need new exhaust pipes, since the undersides of mine have a little rust. Also I read that you can change out the shocks for better riding, but mine seem to do ok, and I am a big. Anyhow, got anything to recommend changing out or upgrading first?

Fuse box - replace with a good modern ATO style fuse holder. The stock glass tube connectors corrode causing weirdness and will eventually break anyway.

    Other popular upgrades:
    - fuel filter
    - Horn(s)
    - Ignition - spark plugs (iridium) and/or replacement ignition coils (Dyna DC1-1's being the favorite)
    - Stainless braided brake line(s)
    - Progressive fork springs

Do you have a stock# for the Dyna DC1-1 ignition coils? Anywhere to get them would be a great help...

Also, I am using the recommended plugs in my bike, would it be better to go with the iridium ones? I was also thinking about using Bosch 4 tips ones if they had... And #'s for these would also be great...

I was planning on upgrading to the Dyna's in the near future when the $$$ is available after finally getting my bike on the road. Here's one place you can get them, but they've been back ordered for a few weeks. I'm not sure if there the exact ones you need. Z1 has other Dyna coils available too.

what kind of performance increase would you expect to see with new coils? has anyone paid to have the engine polished up, or chromed out? Mine isn't to bad but it is a very flat looking aluminum color, is that how they came stock?
