Q: Can I use Flex Seal® to fix radiators, tires or other areas with extreme heat and pressure?

A: NO, Flex Seal® will withstand your normal water pressure but it's not made to withstand extreme heat or pressure.

Q: Can I use it on a gasoline tank?
A: NO, Flex Seal® should not be used to seal a gasoline tank, oil tank or any other combustible material.

I tried that flex seal stuff on my eavestroughs where they leaked at the joint... Didn't stop the water from getting through, and flaked and cracked off the next time i cleaned the gutter (a few months later!). Don't know for sure, but maybe wrapping old Trojans around the intake boots might work better!

I was just in walmart auto motive section, rustolem version of flex seal claims to fix oil pans and radiator hoses good to 16 psi.
this may work to fix carb boots and airbox boots

A lot of products claim to do a lot of things.....

Looking at the MSDS it seems like it will begin to decompose at temperatures above 120ºF

You're also buying a whole lot of solvent and not much rubber coating in each can.
