    maybe a better question rather than the year is what engine they come from. Non-YICS or YICS? orientation is the big factor as they aren't suppose to be transferable.

    80-81= non-YICS, 82-83=YICS

    You need
    A single non-YICS, for cyl 1-4 or YICS for cyl 3-4, to replace yours. You have a a single YICS 1-2 mismatched boot.

    I just notice the pic never went, so I just resent to your phone. You'll see YICS 1-2 are opposite to 3-4. NON -YICS are all the same , and also the same as YICS 3-4

    got it Dave, thanks again!

    YICS go \ \ / / and non-YICS go \ \ \ \

    My number 1 will be rotated 180 degrees and swapped to number 3 so the nipple is straight up and angles out from the boot to the engine head correctly. Currently as Dave said I have a mismatched boot on number 3 that actually came off a YICS bike.

    So I need another number 1 boot. My bike is a non-YICS

    I hope this is accurate for everyone! And sorry to hijack the thread Gulrok; carb boot orientation is important FYI!

    Aaron, correction for you:

    YICS=//\\ Not \\//

    Non- YICS \\\\

    Here's a YICS SET:
    image.jpg

    You just have to pay attention to the orientation of the ears for the bolts, in relation to the vacuum port. Also, you must pay attention to the angle of the rubber opening from the carburetors to the manifold.
    Boot number three and four are the same for both YICS and non-yics bikes. Boot number one and two are different for YICS .

    YICS set... Moellear, these will not work for what you need unless you're content to STILL have some facing the wrong directions

    Looking for a set of forks in really good cosmetic condition - I'll redo the seals. Can you let me know what shape these are in (i.e., rust, pitting, scratches, etc) and send me some pictures?
    Thx!
