What a Pain in the ass it is to need ViceGrip Finger's and the strength of The Incredible Hulk to give the Idle Adjustment Rod an Accurate little tweak, when necessary.

    No more.
    Rejoice.

Now you can adjust the Idle Rod without too much trouble any more.

This is so simple ... a Caveman COULD do it.

Just add a little washer between the Spring and the Rod at the end of the Spring on the KNOB Side.

I used a Nylon washer. It give that Rod a real "Precision Instrument" feel and your hand spends less time making the tweak.

Now your hand and wrist are just "Lightly-toasted" ... instead of "Medium-rare" or "Well-done!"

I've a 550. I don't think my hands would fit in there when I was in the 5th grade let alone today. I have to nudge the notches wiith a long twig.

And I resent that "caveman" remark.

Mine usually is loose enough and I use my fingers and just push on the appropriate side to adjust.

Guess I was just lucky that mine was not so tight!?
