650cc engine to 750cc

    Can a 650cc be rebuilt to 750cc?
    I'm guessing different rods & pistons, larger carbs but that probably means different head too.

    Must be a completely different engine, huh?

    it would be cheaper and easier to drop in a good used 750.

    Make sure you get the carbs too, and the ignition module.

    If you mean for an engine transplant, then yes.

    If you mean for building the engine out to 750cc, that depends on what route he takes. Doing it the way that Yamaha did he'll also want the crankshaft (for the longer stroke) and the cams.

    Engines are the same size on the outside I just picked up a crashed 750 for $100 cheapest way to make my 2nd 650 Seca in to a super seca has 4/1 header on it now 1st one is all stock
