I hope it fits! I just won one off ebay in an attempt to gain some better brakes for my xj650.

It looks like it comes with the master cylinder and all the hardware including the wheel, shock tubes, rotors, calipers pads etc.

Um.... I hope it came cheap.

Turbo brakes are hopeless. As are the springs.

I put a new master cylinder and braided lines on mine before they worked worth a damn. Progressive Springs smartened up the front end a lot as well.

It was 99 bucks plus whatever shipping is going to be.. I don't expect the bike to be able to do endos, but I would think the twin disk setup would have to be at least a little better than whats on an '82 maxim. Right???

Sounds reasonable to me. Still, braided lines are HIGHLY recommended. You have the lighter weight of the Maxim in your favour too. My turbo is heavier than my GS1100. Pushing it around makes my 1100 feeld like a ballerina by comparison. It was heavier than ALL the 1100's of it's day, except the GPz. The turbo also used ball bearings in the headstock. I don't know what the Maxim used, but you may have to swap out the steering head bearings. You can get a set of tapered bearings from Parts N More.

I purchased an LK (83) turbo front end for my 81 Max. Bought the braided stainless lines and have yet to install any of it on the Max! I'll let you know how it turned out by the end of the year!
