Due to recently arisen health concerns and medical bills, my XJ650RJ project has to be sold immediately. As seen in thread:

    http://www.xjbikes.com/forums/index...ebuild-formerly-black-bits-in-oil-sump.48018/

Any parts you are wanting, let me know, I may very well have them. Engine is fully disassembled. Have brand new full rebuild gasket kit for it, still in package from Len. Two sets of carbs, one off the bike, one from a 650 midnight Maxim. Ones off the bike are disassembled entirely. Diaphragms are intact and supple. Have full rebuild kits for them as well. Have a set of front calipers (not rebuilt yet) and distribution block, stainless lines from Len not yet installed. Wiring harness is butchered, not worth selling.

I need to sell everything I have for the bike as soon as possible. If you want anything that I didn't list, ask and I'll check. Make me an offer on any of it.

Sorry to hear that. In your other pics, I see spark plugs, fuel/vac line, maybe some plug wire caps? I have a XJ 650 (non seca) that I'm rebuilding. Let me know what you have that works and I'll take it. I'd be interested in brake lines too but I think they're different for Seca?

For anyone interested, I do have the unmolested gas tank as pictured in the build thread, original paint and emblems, one dent. Key included with cap. I also have a very rough gas tank, paint is stripped, multiple medium & small dents, with cap and key. Petcocks are still on both tanks.

Decent air box with box to carb boots in good non-rotted shape, airbox is from a 650 maxim, has chrome sides.

All engine parts are available, starter clutch, shifter forks, etc.

    Forks are available, not rebuilt.

Three brake calipers, one left and two right, not yet rebuilt. Basic rebuild kits already purchased, still in bag.

    Distribution block for brake lines.

    Stainless brake lines from Len.

Front and rear wheels of bike were painted black by PO, both in good shape otherwise.

    Starter motor tested functional.

Engine cases have been hand stripped, sanded, and primed/painted/clear coat with High Temp. Paint. All gasket surfaces cleaned completely.

Good condition clutch side cover, silver.

Cluch basket, etc. in good condition.

Primary Chain Oil Nozzle is pristine, not damaged.

How are the forks condition wise? I may have borked my fork rebuild (stripped damper bolt) and depending on what you want for them I may pick them up to have in case my rebuild ends up not working out. And maybe seat/rear plastic if you still have it, but I see someone else posted about it a while ago.

john, sorry to hear of your plight. the best of luck to you in getting better without going into the poor house. i myself am facing a $13,000.00 unexpected debt because I cut the tip off my finger last fall. maybe in the future you can get another bike.

Sorry to hear about your health. Not sure who you are but I was directed by Dave to this thread. Hope you recover from this man.

This is what I need to ever start riding again: the lower tree (so the clamp and stem), the oil drain cap located on the left side of the engine (there's one also on the right side), the front headlight assembly, all 4 footpegs, stainless steel brake lines, and the side kickstand. I have a 1982 RJ. Was involved in a bad hit and run. Just fixing a few parts to get back on the road. Had to take a year off from riding to recover! Hope you recover too!!
