For Sale: 1982 XJ 550R Seca plus extra bits

Late summer of 2013 the valves were adjusted, carbs cleaned, wet set, sync'd and color tuned with all the correct tools. Roller bearings in the swing arm and new steering head bearings (I think those are roller as well). Rebuilt caliper and master cylinder and stainless steel lines. New brake shoes. New wheel bearings. New chain. I've ridden less than 200 miles since then. I pulled the cover off today, put the battery in, and she fired right up. Took a short ride and was tempted to keep her but I have way too many other projects in my garage. Pictures show her as she is in a light touring set-up.

Other bits: YICS tool, valve tool, a few extra shims, clutch cable, manuals, fork seals, carb kits, helmet lock (different key than ignition), oil filter and o-rings, extra set of side covers (including the coveted right side) and tail, luggage rack with lockable removable hard case, brake caliper, stock exhaust (I showed the worst of it in the pic and didn't try cleaning it up for the picture), a couple bags of misc parts and fasteners mostly from lot purchases off ebay for the one part I did want. Also have a side cover emblem and gizmo for getting o-rings on the valve cover bolts.

The bike is not a 10, but it wouldn't be a bad start if that's you're intent. Or just be happy and ride it as-is. I'd prefer to sell it to an XJer than to the frame chopping bobber wanna be's on Craigslist. $1450 takes it all.

Sorry to resurrect this old thread, but I am looking for a luggage rack for my 81 XJ550 Seca. Are these things out there or do they need to custom fab'd? The one you have on there is exactly what I want!

 

How much for luggage rack and box?
