So I keep reading threads about putting seafoam in your crank case to possibly help clean some gunk off the starter clutch. Anyone had any success with this? Also do I need to drain the oil afterwards? Just wanna know the procedure before I attempt anything.

Yes and yes. Run Seafoam as per the directions on the can. Run it until the next oil change (I tend to just run the Seafoam for a nice easy 300 mile day). It may buy you some time, but eventualy that starter clutch will need to be rebuilt.

I figured as much, I just want to try everything I can before the day comes I gotta get into it. Also if anyone could link me to a fuel filter they use that sits under the tank well it'd be much appreciated.

Those work well (Chacal sells one that has the barbs 90º apart, which fits even better), but they will get brittle, so need to be changed annually.

There are also some nice 1/4" sintered brass fuel filters with aluminum housings on Ebay. I've been using one for a few months now and am very pleased. It's plenty small enough to fit under the tank, and can be disassembled for cleaning. Chacal was looking into carrying them (shipping time can be a bit long from China), but I'm not sure how that is going.
