I just picked up a pair of screaming eagle II slip ons. To put these on I should cut the pipes where the "bullhorn" begins correct? The opening on these are 1 8/10 inches where as the pipes on my bike are 1 7/10 in. So after I cut them should I just use a coupler and some clamps? Or am I going to need to weld them on there? The Eagles have a hole by the part where is slips on. So I'm going to have to cut that off as well. Will I have to rejet once I'm done?

Try ebay, they usually got a few floating around for a good price.

I'd think you'd be okay on the jets... it's not like they are staight pipes, they still have some back pressure!

I got the pipes of Craigslist for 75, but i'm going to resell the headers that came from a sporster. When I put them on IF i do need to reject what will be the sure "signs" of it?

Does the process of putting them on sound good?

You don't have to cu tthe pipes to remove your stock mufflers if that is what you are asking. They have a bolt behind them where they meet the header pipe that can be loosened and then the muffler can be removed. Of course it have to be loosened from the rear frame mount also.

My exhaust is like this one:

If i take off the bolt were it meets the head then I will lose the 4-2 pipes. That is why I'm thinking i have to cut it after the 4-2? So What are you talking about with taking off the bolt.

Oh, that's different, mine, I have 4 separate head pipes, the "H" plate, then the 2 exhausts that I can remove with a bolt.

From that, it looks like your going to have to cut and weld.
