Eorking on the Xj650 today. The left side brace that holds on the passenger footpeg bolt just keeps spinning. I've used PB Blaster and got it broke loose but it just keeps turning like the bolt is free spinning in there or something. Any advice?

I've attached a picture of the bolt.

Put a wrench on the other side of the fastener too.

You do know that bolt supports the rear of the engine, correct?

The question is (and I'm not entirely sure of the answer) why is there that space between the foot peg mount and the frame lug? I don't recall there being a spacer behind the mount.

Hold on a second. I think I've got it. Does this bike happen to have been made into a cafe racer type thing? Are the only footpegs mounted at the rear of the aluminum bracket? In stock form that space would be filled by the rider's foot peg mount.

You are correct. That's where the foot pegs mount, in between the frame and the bracket. Thank you sir.
