    yeah it does look like a maxim, but it is off a 1980 seca "Special" which I'm assuming is the same seat as the maxim. (I've seen several photos of both). What I need to know is will it bolt on to a 1982 XJ650 seca. Another words: does the '80 maxim/special seat have the same bolt patern as the '82 seca...

    That looks almost exactly like the seat on my XJ1100. I have no idea if it will fit a Seca or not, but I can tell you it's almost exactly like the seat on my Maxim. The tuck and roll is a little different, but the general shape is identical.
