Hey all, I'm looking to replace the Windjammer fairing on my XJ650H with the stock Yammy headlight and front signals from the non-Windjammer models.

Anyone have a set they'd be willing to part with? I'm on the west coast of Canada, in Vancouver to be exact, but I'd be more than willing to pay shipping costs from the US or back east.

Also, I am pretty sure I have the hardware on the bike already to mount these, would they normally just bolt on? I know I'd have to either adapt the WJ wiring harness or strip it off and rewire directly, that's something I'm prepared to do. Will go take pics right now.

    Thanks!

    In particular, there's:

Would that be where the signals go? Would the XJCD tell me that? I need an excuse to buy one :)

Excuse the dirt, it's been riding in the rain and needs a bath :)

The XJCD will give you all the parts and service manuals for the XJ series bikes. It also give a great parts cross reference, plus serial number lookup, pictures of bikes, and lots of other usefull information.

The Windjammer fairing is an aftermarket item. The Windjammer wiring harness was a "clip on" to the Yamaha harness, unless someone did a cut and splice! So you should still have all the original Yamaha plugs in place.

Have you found the link to Yamaha USA, they have a complete listing for parts diagrams for all their bikes. Here's the link.....

    http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/myyam ... there.aspx

Click on "proceed to parts catalog" on the bottom right, then follow the prompts to your year and model.
Headlight will give info on just the sealed beam and housing.
Steering will give you the mounting bracket.
Electrical 2 will give you the part numbers for the frame side reflectors that go onto the mounts on the side of your frame, which I believe is shown in your first posted picture above.

Keep an eye on ebay for parts, I've found it to be the only place around here to get 25 year old parts, well at least the one's the Yamaha joint can't get!

    Good luck!

Great, just waiting for payday to roll around so I can order an XJCD. Spent every penny I had buying and insuring the new XJ :) So worth it.
