I have been the proud owner of a 1982 Yamaha Maxim 400 for 6 years now. The only bike I would ever sell her for is a Maxim 650...love the Maxim!! And maybe a Virgago, the older style! It's always cool to find other Maxim owners, it's such a slick bike!

I had a Virago for awhile. Ran good. Very comfortable. Fine styling.

It lost it's appeal to me when the Starter started not starting it. No fun.
    Easy to push-start; though.

If you plan-on buying somebody's Virago and the Starter doesn't engage right away ... Run!

thanks for the tip. I am keeping my eye out for a Maxim 650. Probably selling my bike at the end of this year or in the spring, & getting a bigger one. I have a great attachment to it, but I think it's time for an upgrade!
