Hello everyone! I've just purchased an 81 XJ650H, and thought I'd come join the crew.

Welcome! I'm pretty new as well.

There is TONS of info on this site. All you have to do is dig. When you can't find it, ask. Everyone has been more than helpful for me.

Howdy Lefty, welcome to the gang. I love my H model, she has been my steady since I first owned her (1989). Wouldn't part with her for love nor money. Great bike. I had the Windjammer fairing as well but I got to disliking it. Weighed to much. Enjoy your new "friend".

    Thanks, Robert :)

Hey, question for you, what'd you replace the Windjammer with? Headlight/signals from another XJ? Someone told me that Virago lights would go on the XJ, but I'd hate to buy a set and have them not fit.

Had the original parts still and a Shoei H2 landed in my lap. Easy day. Some parts from most every year and make of these Yamahas can be swapped, I'd suggest you purchase the XJCD and look up what all will cross in the parts cross-reference. $10 well spent.
