I've become an XJ Forums Door Knocking Proslytite ...

I noticed that a neighbor had a nice 87 Maxim trailered so when I saw him out today I went and preached the Word...

He is looking for parts, I got his email and emailed him the Forum Links and links to the appropriate pages in Len's catalog...

Does this make me an annoying person passing out Tracts?

    All Praise the XJ.... ;-)

Buddy at my work has a Midnight Maxim... I've been trying to convert him for months!
The Church of Clean's congregation is growing.
I saw another Max on a country road, wanted to leave a pamphlet. Everyone should know...
Your efforts will be rewarded, Brother!

    No way!
On Sunday I found out that one of the sax players in the swing band I am in has a 1983 XJ700 Seca Turbo.

He was bemoaning that it hasn't run in three years. So first I say: "well if you are looking to get rid of it . . . ." (I mean right?, isn't that what I should do? We are going to be buying a farm and there is a barn and all. Aren't barns for filling up with motorcycles?)

Then he says he wants to get it running again but there is this funky valve thingy that is part of the Turbo system that is leaking.

So I'm like: "I know where you can get a boatload of knowledge and almost any part you need - come on over to XJBikes!"

Your friend has had that bike layed up a long time. So long that he is misremembering what he has. The turbo only came in one size: 650cc.

I tried the same thing a few weeks ago. A coworker mentioned that he has an '85 maxim and wanted to put pods on it. I quickly informed him that was a bad idea, and steered him here.

I'll mention that and tell him he should just let me take it off his hands for $50 and a case of beer.

Brother Stumplifter, you are risking your XJ soul... you shouldn't consider your gain. Focus on bringing him into the fold! Or score the XJ for me!!!
