I did a search and it found nothing for TAB. I need to reattach the tab on the plastic side cover. It seems like every year there are better and newer epoxies. Every one I have tried has broken back off even with both surfaces roughed up and clean. Any success stories or info on what to use?

I drill a small hole near where the tab has broken off and then run a cable tie, or zip tie whatever you call them, through the hole and then through the location point and pull up to secure. If ever you need to remove just cut off and then re-apply. Can be a bit tricky sometimes but you'll never lose the cover if it comes loose.

the covers are ABS so use ABS pipe glue. get all that epoxy off then cut a piece of ABS pipe and catch the "saw dust" mix that with some glue to make it thicker and build it up a little.
glue it first with a little straight glue first then use the "dusted" glue to build it up. the thicker glue will take longer to dry, should be stronger than new

    rocs82650 and BaldWonder like this.

I went to my automotive paint store and bought 2 part multi plastic epoxy. It was $40. I put it on some cracks in my fairing and the tab. It stayed rubbery so this wont work. I knew I should have got quick set 50. Took 2 minutes to put it on and 15 minutes to remove it. Its what the store owner said would work.

Or ABS glue like Polock said. We call it 'solvent weld'. Plumbers use it to join waste pipe. It gooey and does the job well - use sparingly though.
