Just wondering what people find their average millage is between swapping out their brake pads and shoes.

I know this depends on riding style, kind of riding you do and where you live so there's no exact numbers but I'm looking for peoples experience here.

Highway use or city driving? Unless at the track......

Driving style plays a huge roll in wear rates of "consumable" items of our bikes.

I get about 5 years out of my fronts. Never changed my rears. I inspect them twice a year. Bike had 3200 miles when I liberated it from me dad's garage in 07. Changed the pads in 08. Now 5he bike has over 20k with those same pads. Still have more than 50% left.

My Seca came with 19,000 miles and the original pads which were about 2/3 gone, and too glazed to be safe.
