Was in my local stealership the other day and saw the new Yamaha FJ-09 and liked it a lot. My 750 Maximum is my first motorcycle so I am still pretty new to two wheels. I fell in love with running my bike up to red line and feeling that surge of power between 6 and 9k on the tachometer, so I thought if I ever considered another bike, it would have to be a inline 4 cylinder. The FJ is a 850cc 3 cyl that redlines at 11k, and is claimed to be tuned more for mid range torque than top end horsepower. But in the specs that I read online it makes its claimed horsepower at 11k rpm so I believe it would keep me happy in that regards especially since it makes about 40 more horsepower and weighs about the same as my 750 max!

I quite like the look of that bike. Ive never ridden one but a friend recently bought a triumph tiger 800 which is also a triple cylinder, has awesome low and mid range torque response but still feels very smooth and very low on vibrations so id inagine the fj09 would feel similar.
