Who's going this June? I will be attending most of the day. If you want to meet together name the place and time.

Be safe, there was a nasty accident just east of Tavistock this morning, had to call ORNG in. 2 bikes collided from what I've heard.

I, unfortunately, have to work :(

I grew up in Port Dover and recall when it started from a few guys in a bar to a few thousand with a show and shine and a band. Back then my mom (yup) was riding either a 650 special or a later a 1100 Virago and she knew the guys that started it. Today, cramming 150,000 bikes into a town of 4,000 people is pretty much lunacy and even though I now have a bike again, I can't see myself heading into a summertime PD13 any time soon.

Back when it started if you drove a sportbike and parked it there it was about 50/50 whether it would get vandalized by the 1%'ers riding oil-dripping US twins that comprised 90% of the attendees. The local stores would close up early and people would head outta town. Then somebody realized bikers have money and the spectacle itself began to draw many thousands more, and it's beyond massive now with street vendors and county involvement.

Maybe I should rent my XJ750XN out for the next one haha. I live close enough to Dover that we hear the drone all day long of big V-twins with straight pipes heading to and from Dover.

Id like to experience it at least once. Last year was bad weather if i recall correctly. This year theres not friday 13th until november. Latest ive ever ridden is nov. 4 and i almost slid out on ice, so unless we get freak weather i'll have to wait until may 2016.

I used to ride "home" (100km) from University at Christmas Break and back after "reading week" which was the end of February. Used to get mad at the physical plant guys because the bike parking lot was blocked by snowbanks...

I'm too old for that crap now. ;)

When there's one in November or December a some die hards do show up on two wheels, and lots of people cage their way there just to hang out.

May will be very, very popular, and not as stinky hot as something in say July or August would be.

I'm not saying don't do it, but be prepared for it to be far, far more cramped and crowded than you might expect and to take a very long time to get in and out through the security checkpoints.

Security check points? I have yet to see one or been thought one. I get there early about 7 AM to get good parking downtown. When I leave at about 3 PM I'm out of Dover in 20 minutes with my PD 13 t-shirt. I now do not have to ask the boss for the day off its a given.
