    Hey folks,

Now I got you - I'm not talking about pillions... I'm talking about fat people that fly coach.

Just wanted to get your opinion on if you think airlines should impose a weight limit for passengers.

I ask because of a recent horrific flight I had where next to (and on me) was an obese lady who had to basically pick up her fat rolls and hang them on the arm-rests, and me, to get into the seat.

I requested to move seats but the steward said the flight was full. I didn't say anything to this woman but it was pretty obvious. Near the end of the flight I regretfully got into it with her and told her she should have bought two seats because she was using 1/2 of mine (well actually my lap) and the person on the other side of her. It was seriously uncomfortable and quite gross having someone else's fat resting on your leg for 3 hours.

At the end of the flight she ended up calling me "fat-ist" at which point I'd had enough and replied - "oh no... I think you're fatest!".... let's just say she didn't like that.

This got me thinking that maybe airlines should have a weight limit for passengers. I'm not saying fatty's shouldn't fly, I'm just saying there is a certain amount of physical space that you're buying when you buy a seat and if you spill out of yours you should buy another.

    Some do.
Here's the thing; you are basically taking a flying Greyhound bus considering how cheap ticket prices have been for the past 20 years. Expect the trip to be similar in quality.

In a perfect world an individual who is broader than 'normal' would identify this fact to the airline and request two seats; in turn the airline would say "Sure, no problem, there is no up charge for that, we just want to provide the best customer service possible."

In contrast to your story . . . I still fondly recall coming back home on a business flight and sitting next to a beautiful Latina who smelled delicious and was showing me pictures on her phone so of course we had to lean in towards each other. purrrrrrr

I had a flight last weekend and my problem was how bad the lady smelled. It was her perfume. She had to have used the hole bottle. Luckily my flight was only a hour.

Ah man you just reminded me about a flight I took from UK to USA back in like 2000 - someone at AirFrance decided it would be a good idea to put sample bottles of the duty free nasty french perfume in the bathroom on this particular plane and every woman that went in there sprayed themselves - after 3 hours it was so bad the whole plane was coughing and people were literally throwing up. I've never seen so many people vomiting at the same time. I haven't flown Air France since.

My mum of all people had a problem of always wearing too much perfume, I think because she used to fart so much she would over-compensate but it's also go to do with sensory adaptation. Hey perhaps it was her... did she have a giant beehive and dressed completely in spandex?

    Lesson 1 - don't fly AirFrance -
Lesson 2 - don't sit next to my mum.
