good news/kind of bad news...

    although not NEARLY as bad as it could have been...

    was in the process of removing the headpipes from my 550. i soaked the nuts in liquid wrench before starting...

    of the 8, 3 nuts came off with very little effort. the other 5 were so badly rusted that they unscrewed the studs from the ports...

    i think ill hit them with a grinder, screw them back in and replace the nuts with new ones...

    I would try soaking them in a penetrating oil. Just spray some in a small cup and see if they break loose after sitting all night. Nothing wrong with the stud coming out instead of the nut. You can leave it and just use anti-seize on the stud threads. But if you do get the nuts loose new ones are an excellent idea. ;)

    You can save a lot of grinding by cutting through hose nuts, diagonally, with a Wafer Cutting Disc of a Dremel Set.

    Put the NeverSeize in them open holes NOW ... before you forget and wish you had sometime down the road!
