That's a nice looking bike. I like the look of the flat black rear shocks n springs. Was the front fender always black, or was it chrome originally? Also, it looks as though you are missing the reflector on the frame ahead of the tank. Is that on purpose? Looks like you still have the original tool bag too! It's hard to believe something like that can last 32 years! Mine is loooong gone.

    Hey Matti,
The front fender was originally chrome! The reactor was dented and broken so what did was bond the cracks and coat paint it, I like the way it looks honestly. And haha yep original tool bag still there! I was thinking on doing something about the sissy bar... I also would like the look of a one seat hard seat, but the gf enjoys riding with me.

EDIT: how do you think the engine would look black ?

Sissy bars are for sissies! I took mine off, and now I have a hard time getting it on the center stand, because my bar was aftermarket, and the standing handle was removed to put it on. Now who's a sissy? Me, that's who!

Hahahha! Well I've never actually looked, what actually holds the sissy bar on? Is it hard to get off?

Mine was an aftermarket bolt on for the 750 seca. Yours appears to be more complex, with the keyhole for the helmet lock through it... you'd have to ask someone with more experience on the 650s for a better answer. Here's how mine was attached, not that it helps you...

All I have is before pictures, and after pictures wouldn't make much of a difference. Try to visualize a side cover on there, a newer seat, and no sissy bar. And maybe a little bit cleaner. She needs help.

I love the red! Sweet bike I like it! And mine is nothing special! Was thinking about painting engine black but not sure, I also want to look for a louder exhaust,

She hasn't run in a few years now, and there is a lot of neglected maintenance to do, but it'll happen, Someday! Just have to convince the wife that money does grow on trees. I earn the stuff, I can spend it how I want! (yeah, right!)
