Ok i just got the parts to fix the bike, (didnt want to fix it but my buyer backed out). I put all back together and wham no rear brakes. When i have it lifted in the air I have some brakes. But once I ride it they go away after 1 hit. I wonder if something may have bent, maybe something not engaging,? I have tightened the adjuster all the way and I still have pad left, the adjuster arm is pulling the the engaging unit going into the drum assembly. I have no clue what is wrong. HELP please

Well I think I found the prob the part that goes into the drum the move the shoes is stripping on the arm. I think I'm gonna see if i can have it welded at work tonight. Hope it works.

Don't want to weld it, you will never get the s cam out again if it is the same part I am thinking about. Not a permanent fix but would get you by until you can get a new s cam. Cut some paper clips into little strips to put in teeth where the actuator goes on the s cam until you can get a new s cam or lever. That way you can get it back apart. This is only a duct tape repair and only recomended for a very temporary fix. I accept no critique or responsibility and I can't tell you how I know it worked on one of my previous bikes. It was a honda though so it wasn't that important. No phone calls please.

Lol well I had the guys at work look at it they were able to tighten it down enough and put a good bolt in that it no longer slips. Thanks for the info though.
