I found the perfect replacement for my XJ750MK (In ten years, when I can afford it)

It is sad that it is not sold in America. Air cooled and naked, the way I like my toys (and girls...) :)

What do you guys think? Like it?XJR1300

    I fell in love...

    LOL, yes, genetically modified...

The engine looks amazingly similar, proof that it carries some of the Maxim / Seca genes. I think it was based on the 80s 1100 engine.

    Yeah, that's a good looking in-line 4.

I'd settle for the OHLIN Shocks on my bike.

    Those are HUGE Money!

I've been drooling over that bike for quite a while now. There is a British based web site dedicated to the XJR 1300. I'd love to have one of those bikes. My other picks would be one of the Bandit Suzukis or one of the retro Kawasakis. I think Yamaha is missing out by not offering a bike like the XJR in North America.

I like the XJR. Dave who also has 2 XJ750Ds has a Yamaha FJR1300 and one of his friends has a XJR1300. They swapped bikes for a ride and the XJR owner is now going to buy a FJR1300 it is that much better. The FJR1300 is shaft drive too. Big money here either way a XJR is $8,000+ and a FJR is $14,000+. Oh well in another 20 years maybe I will upgrade my XJ750, maybe not though I prefer the 750!

Yup that's a GREAT looking machine! I like the fuel injection system Vs caarbs, but it looks fantastic.... all it needs is shaft drive and it could the perfect bike.

I think $8,000 is a good price tag but will it last as long as our bikes?

I guess they make them better now, but they also need more expensive care and electric knowledge.

    What do you think?

If they brought them into Canada @ $8,000 I'd be sitting down and having a chat with my banker. I'd probably have to talk to my wife too!
