    Napanee here..

Napanee has a decent bike night at the town hall on Tuesday evenings. I'm sure everyone is aware of the one in Kingston on Wednesday evenings. It would be good to meet up with other XJers.

    Hi!

I'm also in Kingston. 1982 650 Maxim. Do you work on base? Your bike looks familiar!

    Hey guys
Don't know if this is of any interest to you, but I copied and pasted this post from the VRRA website

Evening Track sessions at Shannonville MSP
by Peter Sheppard » Mon Feb 18, 2013 12:00 pm

Had word from Michelle Tenier and Paul Bowker that they will be organizing the evening track days at Shannonville MSP again this year, but only five sessions. They usually run from approx. 4:30pm until dusk. Don't know yet which track or cost yet but likely the pro and if pro approx. $95. The updated info will be available fairly soon I understand.
They will all be on Thursday evenings as follows:
    May 23
    June 6
    July 4
    August 8
    September 12
You can contact Michelle Tenier at 613-394-6234

North of Brighton here, about an hour west of Kingston. Thursday nights in the summer there is a popular meet in the Canadian Tire parking lot in Campbellford. I'll be the guy pushing his bike making vroom vroom sounds with his mouth...unless I actually get one of my three XJs going before summer...haha.

I'm from Cornwall. After being filled with jealousy due to pictures from Dave's NY Carb Clinic, I'd be up for that! Any experts out there that want an unruly horde of bad assed bikers in their backyard?

I have the room on my farm, but I'm lacking the expertise. I'm an hour west of Kingston. Maybe we could invite Dave and a few of the experts up for a traveling clinic?

I'd be down for that. I'm in Deep River, Ontario about 2 hours west of Ottawa. I go on courses in Kingston time to time.

I have no expertise, but I have an XJ that needs love! Count me in! I know there are a few peeps here from toronto, and there are more around the province. It really wouldn't be too far for the gang from Montreal to make it too. We gotta get this thing going!

By the looks of it I'm convinced now that all it takes is some time and some money. And to be a quick learner with good hand eye/common sense. I'm waiting patiently to get some more money and some time and tear into my carbs, and not overlooking anything.
Thanks to this website and the knowledge that people have given I feel more than confident I can do everything I WANT done, on my own and with better accuracy than a "professional" could.
When I take on my carbs I'm going to have it well documented and share my first experience. I've seen alot of mistakes made by others but I'm sure I'll make some of my own.
That being said if there is a gathering that happens I'd still like to take part and meet some fellow xj ers.
    Thanks

    Hey fellas,

I am 20 mins west of Kingston in the Knee (Napanee). I have a stock 83 xj750MM and a couple FJs. I would be game for a ride or a clinic. It would be cool to get to know some local xj riders and see some of the popular fixes that i will eventually have to do.

A few years ago, my wife was looking for a comfortable and capable bike and i suggested the maxim 750. I rode an 83 as a kid...and..... well, thank god she fell in love with the MM ...and twisted my arm to buy it ... for her... lol. I had NO choice!
Anyway, she just loves the bike and makes me test drive it, wash it, maintain it, .... you know.....

So, i like to ride, and test drive, locally and long runs as well. I ride to do errands, commuting, or whatever excuse i can come up with.... And, i do the odd long trip with friends, too.

I have also cleaned a few racks of Hitachis and Mukinis and others too. Im no expert, but i would be of some help, and I use a 10L Ultrasonic cleaner that ive had success with.

Looking forward to meeting some other XJers at a clinic or a ride ...

    Cheers
    Paul.

Hey guys. I'm just west of Renfrew but I'd be happy to take spin for a carb clinic. It's so easy to learn a skill when you have someone with past experience making sure you get it right. It removes all the stress from learning. If we can ever set one up somewhere in the Toronto / Kingston / Ottawa corridor I'd love to attend.

Prince Edward County has some of the best roads in Ontario! Or the Thousand Island Parkway. Or the Hwy. 2 along the big River! Supposed to go up to SIX DEGREES tomorrow!
