What's are the longest rear shocks a guy could put onto an XJ550 Seca?
I'm planning on building a Seca Scrambler so want to get a couple extra inches travel if possible.
    Thanks for any suggestions!

You're only limited by how tight the chain will get, the chain rubbing, and the swingarm length. To my knowledge no-one on this site has built a XJ550 scrambler. You might want to ask for advice on ADVRider.com in the Some Assembly Required subforum. You'll need to think about the front-end too.

    Thanks K-Moe,
I'll ask over there as well.
Is this XJ forum site more of a purists only or is a scrambler builder welcome to inquire regarding XJ questions as well??

Everyone is welcome here. Most of us tend to be purists, but riding a machine is better than letting it rust into the ground.

Awesome! I'm pretty stoked to be getting back on a Seca! I've found a bike a province away, got the okay from my wife, now just need some spare time!
I'll be full of questions this winter I hope!
