XJ750X - fan not working

    I found this image on fleabay, the part number could be wrong, of course. Yours may look a bit different (and a lot more dirty and corroded) and the connectors may be of a different type (pin-like instead of blade-type).

    Found it, looks like that right behind steering column. The brown lead is hanging loose. Should it be connected nearest that white tab? The other less connected to it is blue.

    Just confirmed that the fan runs when I jump brown to blue. However the t switch was not hooked up before so I will just need to get the temp up on it and see if it kicks in.

    Well with brown closest to that white tab, it didn't engage the fan when temp gauge hit the red. I'll have to replace t switch, just likely with a toggle switch.

    personnaly, I'd take the t-switch off and perform the above test before I decide what to do next.

    According to the service manual, it's pointing to a bad t switch. Before I replace it I'll test it but for the time being I'll mount a toggle switch. I'll get into that this winter. Don't have much good riding season left.
