carb plungers

    Wanting to dip my carbs... Have everything pretty much apart besides taking springs off, shafts out, and enrichment plungers removed.

    Can't really just fit a crescent in there to undo this... Is it OK to just push that black piece up to get at that nut? Or does that ruin it? Or does that even need to come off before dipping?

    Just be careful and pop the rubber cap off and use a 10mm socket on the nut.

    Carefully pry it up and over the lip, don't damage the brass lip, though.. If they are nice and soft, reuse them but if they have hardened, throw them away and order replacements.

    Yes, I have already been in touch with him. Just wanted to make sure this was the proper approach to getting this thing apart.
