Clutch cable help needed

    Ok well I'm trying to find a new clutch cable for a 1982 XJ650 seca for the guy I sold it to, but having a hard time I dont if it's an r or non r model. How do I know? Also will a 82 maxim one fit?

    A 1982 Seca XJ650 would be an XJ650RJ

    If it is a Maxim it would be an XJ650J

    We would be able to tell what it is from a serial number.

    The 1982 Seca 650 and Maxim 650 clutch cables have different part numbers, so I guess they won't cross over.

    Thanx I think he called the yamaha dealer they can get it faster he told them 82 650 seca so should be good to go.
