    Hi everyone!

I have a question! Can I fit a 4-1 exhaust of a XJ750F on my XJ750MK '83? Or which exhaust WILL fit? I have a 4-2 exhaust with a collectorbox right now, and I like to go to 4-1!

    Thanks in advance!

yes stay away from 4 to 1 if you can. my 4 to 1 was touted as allowing center stand and oil access centerstand fits and works.
can drain oil can not pull the filter housing past the pipes have to rotate it and change out filter with it between pipes,
I an now hunting down parts for a stock exhaust

I really LOVE the look of the 4-1 pipe! Maybe it is an idea to create an 4-1 pipe myself? So I CAN Reach the oilfilter?

if you get a spin-on oil filter adaptor the filter comes right out. Center stands work good in the garage, that's where i leave mine

Center stands work great on the road too. Particuarly when you need to plug a tire while on a sparsley traveled 2 lane, 30 miles from the nearest town.

4-2 looks better to my eye. Balanced.

so your saying the oil filter is a smaller diameter than the stock oil filter cover?
sounds like a good reason to convert

one of the filters that's used is a k&n hp-1008, outside diameter 2.7 inches. the stock cover is about 4.
other filters fit but k&n gives the dimensions

My 4-1 allows center stand use as well as oil filter access. On a 650 maxim though.

My Seca900 is equipped with a 4-1 (don't know the make) and I have no problem using center stand neither removing the oil filter. There should be minor differences from a make to another. I can't tell anything about performance, I've never had neither ridden a similar bike with a 4-2.

Thanks everyone for your answers! I See there's a separate opinion about the 4-1's, I think I Will keep my eyes open on the dutch sellingplaces for a "original" 4-1 system... And keep the open headers till I found one!

Thank you for this website! I'll read through it when I have the time!

The oem system should be 4 into 2 (four headers into two mufflers).

Thanks for Your reply! I know the 4-2 system is OEM, I do have the collectorbox underneath the bike now... That's why I used the "" with original! :)

I should add the 4-in-1 on my Seca900 has a Kerker muffler, but I have no idea what make the headers are...
