Registering a bike

    This is more of a general question about bikes, but hey I was just wondering, do you need a valid motorcycle license to register a bike or do you just need a valid drivers license. I know it's different from state to state so I live in Georgia.

    I was asked to show my license when registering my bike in VA. I did not yet have a valid "M" stamp for motorcycle qualified. Didn't seem to make a difference. YMMV.

    When I bought the tags for mine they asked to see my license. I handed over my drivers license (I have a separate motorcycle license since I got it later) When I mentioned that the guy said it didn't matter they just wanted the license number and in GA its the same for both. Perhaps when I renew it will just be all one license.
