    did you measure your spring height to see if they are in spec?
    stiffer springs are not going to open or close valves any quicker the cam does that.

    -2mm is spec for free length of springs

    The cam opens the valve. The spring closes it. The only exception to this is for Ducatis, with their gear-driven/springless valves.

    Stiffer springs will close the valve quicker, and increase cam chain load, and possibly increase cam lobe wear while decreasing valve clearance check interval.

    If you want to push to a higher red line, stiffer springs and lighter buckets are ways to accomplish this without running afoul of valve float.
