Plate over air jets

    Hello Folks,

    What does that plate, over the airjets do?

    I have a set of carbs that has the plates, and set that do not.

    Curious...

    Don't think it does anything much, that's why they were left out of later carbs

    it was put in to hold the jet from vibrating out ,then Yamaha decided it was not needed so they stopped using it

    I would leave them out and not worry about it. Save them for awhile in case someone comes up with a good reason to put them back in but I would highly doubt it.
