    Hello all,
Since I last posted my bike was stolen and then recovered (thrashed).
I've got it back up to par somewhat but just over the last day or so my front wheel wants to stay straight when applying the front brake with any force.
It's equal pull on both sides.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance...

Was it the Maxim that this applies to? If so, it may be the fact that it has dual front discs.....

When you say that it makes the front wheel stay straight, I'm not sure what you mean.............does it react that way even in a turn while braking?

You might check the brake pads, rotors and brake fluid just as a first round pass...............keep in touch, many replies are soon to come!!

It's hard to describe what's happening. I can't lan the bike or turn the wheel when applying the front brake with any pressure.
I'm going to bleed the system and check all the components in a couple days. Just thought I would see if someone else had experienced this problem to narrow down the trouble shooting process.
    Thanks

Odd description there Sir, glad you got your bike back. One wonders what the jerk who stole it did to it. Some insurance companies will allow you to claim damages on your bike. Might want to check into it.

You need to make sure that after they dot done they didn't lay a trap ... like loosen some Caliper Bolts or the Front Axle Castle Nut.

You need to go over the front end with a fine tooth comb. Look for what they might have done that's causing your handling to be out-of-whack!

Good advice that Rick. I had my stolen-n-recovered bike looked over by the drug dogs at the base. Glad I did too, found a 9" blade slid up under the fairing. Creepy druggies...

    Haha!
    I don't believe it.
I added some highway pegs that attach via a bar across the lower front frame. The bar is a good 6 inches from the fender but when breaking hard my forks are kinda soft it seems because the bar hits the fender!!!!!!!!!
Haha, what a fool I am.
    Sorry to bug you guys...
I did do an intense inspection after the recovery but that had me worried.
I'll post some pics of the new paint job.
I finally have gotten the "rattle can" technique mastered (many hours of sanding is the key).

Stick some preload in those forks.
That's way too soft for safety.
