Because of the serrated adjustment on the bottoms of the two-peice bars, it's hard to find any other model that used them and also might have had a higher bar height from the headstock. My standard bars are about 3" rise and 4" pullback (ish). I had an idea one or more of the Maxim models might have used higher bars of this same design, but browsing through various fisches brings nothing up.
If there's a simple bolt-on that matches up, it's the easiest solution - if I have to go for a bar conversion, then so be it.

    Hi Dave,

I have a spare set of bars (not in great shape) with the risers on them what are you after exactly the serrated spacers?

Yeah, in the absence of bars from another model, it looks as though the serrated spacers might be stackable, but how high I can go with that and how successful that would be I don't know. It might be a bit wobbly with more than one on it.
As a fallback, I can always drill out the holes and fit a pair of conventional risers and bars.

Stacking the spacers would be OK so long as you use a high-grade bolt. That is essentially the solution that was used for a touring setup on the Kawasaki EX500, though it involved machining a riser to seat between the bar and the triple clamp.

Solution 1. Drill out the holes and fit conventional risers.

Solution 2. Remove the upper triple and have the serrations milled flat, then drill through and fit conventional risers. This doesn't really need to be done, but would look better. There is however no going back.

    Right, thanks for that.
If I can find used spacers cheaply, I'll try them first, as just the 1" or so they give me might be all I need.

Dave, is this what you are looking for? I can remove these spacers and post them up to you as I won't be using them. Just send me a personal message with your details.

Cheers, Gunantabu; those look like them. So that's been used with two spacers on each riser and no problems? Looks good to go.
    PM follows - and thanks.
