I have a guy finishing work on rebuilding my front calipers and master cylinder, and I apparently left the reservior diaphragm on the garage floor, where my neighbor swept it into the trash. I'm having a hell of a time finding a replacement. Anyone out there have one or any idea where I can get one, particularly without having to buy the entire master cylinder ? Again, this is for an '82 XJ750RJ Seca. Any help is highly appreciated!!

Have you checked with Yamaha for the part?

I looked up the part number for the reservoir diaphragm 99001-09600-00 and used the XJCD parts cross reference guide. That part number is used on a wide selection of models from 1968 thru to 2005, so I'm sure they can get it for you.

Nick - thanks a lot for your efforts. As I got your response I found a place in NY (xtreme power sports) that had the diaphragm. The weird thing about this whole deal was that I had two different part #s for it, but for the yamaha dealer websites where I was able to locate the part thru a schematics search, every time I would put it in my cart it would show up as "circlip". This happened several times. I even called my local Yamaha dealers and their own parts systems were coming up with the same thing, circlip. Thats why I thought I was screwed unless I could find a used one. I'm even curious if the part you found that was used for so many different model years is actually the circlip or the diaphragm? Anyway, I located it and unless the part received turns out to be the circlip, I'm good to go.

You could be right on that part number I gave, I ran the old number shown (5g2-25854-00-00) and it fits only two years the 81 and 83 seca 750.

Hope you get the needed part when the package arrives!
