Need Best Source for 550 Carb Parts???

    I'm Cleaning and Overhauling a Members rack of Carbs off a 550.

    We need:

    28mm Mikuni / XJ-550 w/ Shield

    (1) Pilot FUEL Jet
    (1) Bowl Gasket(s) ~ 4 Would be better.
    (4) Float Valve PINS/Needles (Kits?)
    (2) Pilot Mixture Screws

    You can get the o-rings, float gasket and float valves in a carb rebuild kit off eBay, or from oldbikebarn. I have not seen the jets though... I'm interested to see what you come up with. Post it up here when you find stuff.

    this is what ive found from OldBikeBarn

    i HAD another page/source for everything including floats but i left the computer and my daughter (6yrs) closed everything so she could go to the disney page...

    ive found jets on another site but theres like 4,934,023,583 different ones. if i knew which i needed, i could post up this source...

    Here is a stage one and three Jet Kit on ebay for a reasonable price compared to what the local yamarobber shop wants.

    I've needed two MAIN fuel jets for my 550. I got one from a dealer in Little Rock for $4.50, and I got the other from the dealer in Hot Springs for $0.00. The parts guy in Hot Springs actually sent me back to their service department, where the head tech proferred a big selection of jets in a handy-dandy box. He gave me the one I needed for free.

    Oh, wait... you said pilot fuel jets... That's the long, funky one... If I were you, I'd take your advice and backflush it with a bulb syringe, unless it's just completely destroyed. Worked for me. :)
