This looks awesome, are there airbags like this around, does it work?

It kind of looks like you are fishing for contributions, seeing that this is your first post here.

It is a creative marketing trick and capitalism has many vast and varied 'rules', so in that aspect I wish you luck.

Being safe on two wheels is important, my wife worries sometimes (I just need to remember to call her when the twisting road turns a 15 minute run to the store into a 3 hour ride).

There are leather racing suits with airbag integral to them, check those out. Otherwise there is a certain amount of risk assumed when riding a bike, accept that or learn a musical instrument if you want to impress chicks.

There are none that have aribags for the lower torso. I'm sure that there is a reason for that. I can see the potential for the lower airbag to eject the rider prematurely and possibly cause more injury (different injuries than it was intended to prevent).

The rider-reviews of airbag vests that I have read have all been mixed.

at some point of safety items you might as well put the bike on the center stand and pretend you are riding.
the best safety device is under your helmet.....

Means to be like a rabbit by keeping your head on a swivel and staying as alert as possible when you ride.

It refers to a thread that probably doesn't get enough views.

It would probably be cheaper and better for you to get a new girlfriend - you know - one that's into motorcycles?

To be fair though "being the bunny" is a totally different fetish as well as an awesome thread! I mean not that I know erm you know erm it's just what I've been told by you know people I don't really know very well or associate with or get involved in any weird shit with especially not back in August at that party where I was very drunk on Pruno!

Taking the two fetish comments together with the thread title alone (without reading anything else in the thread itself) makes this sound a lot more exciting than most anything else on this forum.
Seriously though, riding is risky. There are only so many safety features one can add to the bike before one realizes the single most impact-ful factor is the skill and mindset of the rider itself. Improve the rider, the ride gets safer.

Hate to interrupt what seems like it could be an S&M thread, but there are some companies out there like this one http://www.d3o.com/
doing some pretty interesting stuff with these new impact/shock absorbing gels.

Be careful what you wish for on the airbags, lest motorcyclists end up like this...

Probably - I guess he got more than he bargained for with this thread though eh!

I'm not sure why this won't catch on though - I'm sure the Angels will sponsor it - I mean, nothing give's you more respect as a biker than strapping yourself to what effectively is an air-bag diaper each time you ride.
