Yes, there is a lock ring in each one. Push down on those caps with a drift. Then have someone else get the little ring out with a small screwdriver. Release the pressure on the drift slowly as the cap will then pop out.

Yep...what PghXJ said, looks the same as mine.....
I just used a large screwdriver, leaned on it pushing it down and then used a small screwdriver to pop up one side of the clip, once it's clear pull it out , (pliers can be handy) then slowly let off the pressure,

It tends to be a two man job to get the spring clip and bushing out.... if your wife wont help out , then I used two C-clamps - you protect the slider with a cloth of course, bolt on first clamp to the slider and then hook the end of the second clamp onto the body of the first. Then gently screw in the second with the screw portion on top of the bushing inside the tube. You can then take all day to gently tease out that rusted in clip.. If the bushing doesnt come right out after removing the clip, tap with a screwdriver handle on the top of the slider and the spring will gradually push it out for you. Works every time for me, but you might have to tap quite a few times, lots of WD40 helps as well.
