The valves do not have rockers. They have buckets and shims.

 

Yeah but you know if you find a rocking horse from all the way back in medieval times, some silly PO has most likely removed the airbox...

Nope, you shouldn't look at gift rocking horse in the teeth, even for a clearance check.
