Did all of the Secas come from the factory with a fairing?

    Title says it all. Just wondering if all of the secas came with front fairing/cowls, or if it was an option. Thanks

    XJ 550 Seca came with a bikini fairing, all years.
    XJ 650 came without a fairing, all years.
    XJ 650 Turbo, came with a fairing, all, years.
    XJ 750 Seca, no fairing 81-82, optional sport fairing in '82, optional touring fairing in '82 (standard in '83), standard sport fairing in '84 ( different frame)
    XJ 900 came with a standard sports fairing, all years.
    XJ 600 Seca II, came with a sport fairing, all, years.

    Thanks, that what I thought...regarding the 550, when I bought it the guy was adamant that it was an option...I figured he was full of sh*t.

    The earliest 900's had a small fork mounted fairing, then they went to a larger frame mounted fairing.

    the option was to remove it

    it was an option in the euro model but they are not called seca

    The U.S. suppiled Bikini fairing for the 550 makes the bike handle funny at speed. A lot of people keep them on the shelf and only put them on for shows.

    I think the 550 Seca's 81 and the 82 came with the fairing and the 83 did not.

    The 81 seca 550 are white, the 82's are red and the 83 are black. I miss Fitz come on back my friend.

    i looked in a parts catalog for seca 550 it had the cover page for all 3 years with only 81 & 82 with a cowling in the photo 83 had no cowling in photo

    also listed 81 with a maxim red cowling section titled Faring Cowling RH/RJ
    nothing about RK
