I was only coasting about 8mph and tipped over. I couldn't believe it, but my fork bent. I'm looking for a good fork tube cheap (Selling bike). I need one for a 1983 XJ750. Wonder if this one is the same? How are the forks? You'd only need to send the top part.

Chris, the Seca 750 fork tubes are common for '81-'83. Are you positive that the tubes are bent? Start a thread with pics. You would have had to hit the tube on the curb or a rock to bend it at that speed.

I am absolutely positive they are bent. I know it's hard to believe, but it's true. I even took it to a friend, I didn't tell him, just had him look. He can see them bent also.

Then they were bent long before that.... And if the bike has gone down hard enough to bend the forks, there's a pretty good chance that you have sustained some frame damage, too. I'd check that closely. If your frame is out of whack, then you're riding on a very dangerous-platform.

If it's just so you can ride, not for a 'looks' or originality thing..... Consider swapping the forks from a 750 maxim.

Put the upper tube in a press and straighten it. It worked perfectly on my CRF bent fork tube. I rolled the upper tube on a flat surface to find the high spot, marked it with a sharpie and straightened it out it in my friends press. Just a thought.

Do you have any of the headlight stuff left. I need the lens and the buckets and mounting hardware and mount, the whole setup.
