Wind shield scratch fix

    I've got a used new to me windshield, what's the best way to get rid of light to not so light scratches

    Polish it . The process is just like polishing paint. Start with 2000 grit paper and work your way to a electric buffer and compound.
    Buying a new one is also an option.

    You could use headlight refurbishing kit. The same kit for getting rid of yellowed headlights. The 3M kit is good.

    I'll try both ideas then, except for buy a new one lol I just bought and trimmed this one, once I get my motor back from the shop I'll get a picture on here

    I used Mcguires plastic polish and a soft rag.

    The dealer installed it when I purchased the bike new in 1985. It has no labels or trademarks. I've often wondered what kind it is myself. Probably some generic thing. I do like it as it is rock stable even in winds and high speeds.

    It appears to be similar to this: http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/29149/i/slip-streamer-turbo-windshield

    However, the front mounts attach to the headlight bucket side screws. I've never seen another quite like it.

    Update: the only markings say DOT acrylic and some unreadable numbers. No brand name.
