    Hey Len... I'm great thanks.

    How are you?

You know I'm going to be emailing you soon... Still have a few parts, but they're in another country and there's going to be stuff I need, that I know you can get :)

I've heard a lot about you, Len. I'm not an old timer, unless you listen to what my kids say. Nice to see you stop by.

Heya folks! Can I be part of the old-timer club too? :D

I still have my old '81 750 Seca, and she still runs good, 60K+ miles on the clock.
Somehow I also ended up with a pair of XS1100's.. an '81 Venturer and another '81 Special basket case, which is my new cafe project, and about which I will be contacting Len shortly

I finished and sold my 1980 XJ650 Maxim, which turned out gorgeous by the time I was done with it.
The bike that got me on xjbikes.com back in '07 was my '83 XJ550 Maxim, which was my first Yamaha and my first bike project.
Since then, I've had a pair of Radian 600's, and a pair of Honda v30 Magnas.. Also helped my friend restore an XJ1100 and a Seca Turbo.. The Turbo is still in service, and runs great.

I also designed an Arduino-based light strip kit for my Venturer that uses four digital LED strips that can act as effect lighting, but automatically change when the engine starts to become additional turn and brake lights. It also has an RF remote to change modes and brightness.
Here's "bling mode" (and another).. I'll take more pics of the brake/turn lights in action.

Here's some stuff to peek at..
My attempt at gas tank electrolysis.. This is the Turbo's tank
    Some of my bikes
My friend's XJ1100 and his Turbo next to my Venturer
My XJ550 that got me into this mess

    Peace,

    Vlad

By the time I am done reading all the valuable info on this website I will earn my "old timer" wings.

I'm already collectnig photos of the new bike by the hundred... Have my own domain and looking to setup a blog of the rebuild... Still unsure how far I'll take it. Think I'll start with teh basics and work my way up from there. If I can get it running right, I'll consider the full documented rebuild with running story

Xjog is still running.... But it's just a shadow of what it used to be. There were a lot of issues that developed when it changed some format and safety features. Many of us had to go to digest mode, a lot of other issues crept up due to that---- many left. I'm still there, but rarely read and rarely post. It's a hassle there for me.....

But, good to see you here!
