Bike mysteriously runs great now

A freind came over today that knows quite a bit about bikes, and I explained to him my problem, and he played with it awhile, and got it started and he took it for a spin and was gone about 10 minutes and when he came back the bike ran great, fired up instantly every time with hardly any choke. Dont know what he did but all he said was Its definately a female, and she likes to be ridden hard. He said he burned the junk out of my carbs by the way he rode it... I donno but whatever he did he fixed it. No problems. Today was the first time I got all the way to fifth gear on it, purring like a kitten the whole time.

 

Glad your bike runs better now. But, I think it would be in your best interest to find out exactly what your friend did to it so if the problem ever arises again in the future you could try to fix it yourself.

Sounds like he "rode it like he stole it", which these bikes seem to beg for from time to time. Good aggressive carbon burning, hill climbing at full throttle, FUN. 8)
