Hey From Newfoundland

    Hey All, I just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. I just picked up my first bike, its an 81 750 Seca. The bike is in pretty rough shape but I got it for a song so figured it was worth the risk. So far I have found a bunch of issues but the most pressing right now is 2 bad coils.

    Anyhow I have big plans to get this bike running and then hopefully cafe it so I will be lurking around trying to get as much information as I can while trying to figure everything out.

    I thought they were bad because of no fire. it turns out after looking at the harness that it was just hacked to bits and the electrical is the real issue. I removed the old harness and started installing the simplified wiring I found on here. when I did that it turned out only one was bad so i replaced it and got the bike to fire up.

    Issue now is it will fire and run off primer but it wont stay running. I assume it needs the carbs cleaned, I drained the bowls and shot carb cleaner through the jets but a full cleaning is in order.
