rear tire

    just wondering if i can use a wider rear tire on 82 xj750 maxim with out any mods?

    120 is stock. 130 is as wide as you can go without having to do surgery on the driveshaft side of the swing arm. At any rate 120 is what makes the bike handle the best.

    The Seca stock rear is 120 (18 in rim I believe) the maxim is 130 (16 in rim). But I agree with k-moe anything bigger and you would need to do surgery on the swing arm. I had a 130/90 with raised white lettering and the lettering rubbed off pretty quickly.
